Help bring Google to Buffalo

Google is planning to launch an experiment that we hope will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. The plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. The networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today, over 1 gigabit per second, fiber optic connections directly to people homes.

Google is asking both local governments and residents to express their interest in this technology trial and to provide information about their community by completing their request for information (RFI) by March 26, 2010.

Buffalo has stepped up and has decided to show Google that we are serious about bringing this technology right here in our home town. The City is completing the request for information (RFI) and is asking for your help in doing the same.

As an individual or a community group, each and every one of us needs to complete the request for information (RFI) to show Google that Buffalo should be their choice in this initiative because we are a united community that is ready for ultra fast broadband.
